Mmmm Mmmm Goood, The Sequel

Well, it turns out Nadav does like food. He just likes to eat it himself. Banana, avocado, oatmeal (the real-people kind), sweet potato - just drop it on his tray and he's happy. Of course, much of the time is spent squishing the food between his fingers and dropping it on his bib (Note to self: Do not rely on 4-year-old for translation assistance. Turns out, Hebrew for "bib" is not "beeeeb.") Anyway, he does get gobs into his mouth every now and then and seems to enjoy it.

Although, after spending 15 minutes picking oat particles out of his eyelashes, I began to question the wisdom of this method....

bli ayin hara, ben porat yosef (im not really morrocan, but i play one sometimes) hes adorable.
my tip is to put mushy food on a rice cracker (cake) (ie in my house we call rice cakes rice crackers (for reasons that i think are self evident)). they can hold the rice cracker by themsleves, whatever they 'chew off' melts in their mouth. none of my kids would agree to be spoon fed. (and none of them are (yet) in jail or bulimic (bli ayin hara etc) so i guess ive done well.)

f/e - Kids that are well-fed and not convicts? I consider that a job well done.

And SaraK - we pretty much do not deny him anything.

i didnt say well fed, i said no known eating disorders, and i didnt say non convicts, i said havent done jail time.
wasnt trying to brag, just showing off my credentials, so that you should feel comfortable following my advice. (now go out and buy rice (cakes) crackers) and see how much fun it is. it is also not chametz, so you wont have to clean nadavs eyelashes for pesach)
