Those Crazy Sorta Pesach Days

Well I did my pre-Pesach produce/dairy shopping at Rami Levi. I will be convalescing at home for the next week. Visitors are welcome, especially if they bring food.

Just kidding, of course! Who has time to convalesce when the contents of your kitchen cabinets are residing on your table, and you're trying to keep the chametz away from the matzah, the matzah away from the chametz, and Nadav away from everything?

Right now we are in Pesach limbo. The fridge has been cleaned, but there's still leftover non-Pesach food in there. The table is most definitely still chametz, but the kids come home and spread their beautiful Pesach projects on top of it. The toy boxes are cleaned, but Nadav crawls around with Cheerios stuck to his butt. There's Pesach food on the fridge, but don't put it on the counter!

And so it goes.

Alright, it is time to boil and burn our kitchen. See you on the other side.

i am in exactly the same place (including the travelling cheerios) minus the actual real cleaning of the kitchen. that was the PLAN. we are supposed to be cleaning the kitchen right this minute. but everyone in the house (well, by everyone i mean mainly my amzingly necessary for cleaning husband) has been struck with a stomach virus and so our lone day with childcare when we were going to get EVERYTHING done? is shot to hell. i'm still in denial - thinking we'll be doing it together at some point (he has milluim sunday so really what are the chances?) in any case, wanted to say i really enjoy reading your blog. sorry for the long winded comment; it's just so much fun when an actual real blogger that i read (with 90+ loyal readers no less ;))is experiencing the same moment - and it's more specific than a generic 'my kids are driving me nuts' - although the truth is that that's pretty sure to fit my sentiments most any moment when i happen to be reading...

You are preaching to the choir Sister. Especially with the "Nadav away from everything" part.

dj we love long-winded comments at ABA! I hope you guys recover soon!

Arica when do you think is the age where the Nadavs do not have to be kept away from everything????

I'll let you know when we get there. I am thinking it may be a good decade until then.

We'll be in limbo til Monday. Admittedly it's easier with older kids. They don't have cheerios stuck to their butts. But they grumble when I make them eat, standing, within a 12 inch radius of chametz. And Orli did have borecas crumbs stuck all over her shirt as she stepped out of the circle.

Same place here too. Minus the cheerios stuck to any bottoms. I think. I'm just reminding myself that it will all get done. I like Baila's 12" radius for eating chametz. Mine is the whole table, but I'm sure some escapes on shirts/clothes as well. One thing we did was broke down things to do and wrote them on pieces of paper to draw so that we didn't have to keep looking at the whole list. It does seem to help some.
